As we maneuver through these tumultuous times of distance and online learning as well as cancelled or rescheduled productions, know that KCACTF Region 1 is here and ready to listen and accommodate to the best of our abilities. More importantly…we want everyone to be safe and healthy!
We sent out a mass email last week with the official statement from the National Committee regarding the cancellation of the National Festival in April and possible ways of handling any outstanding production registrations.
FIRST, we realize that you, your team, or your institutions may not have made any decisions regarding productions OR are still waiting to make those decisions. That is fine. Please communicate with us when the time is appropriate.
Here are options to consider…
1) If a production was well underway with rehearsals, but may/will not officially open and the Director or Faculty would like to submit nominations for the Irene Ryans, Musical Theatre, Student Design, SM, Dramaturgy, etc. please use the following form.
This, in turn, will count as a submitted response with the appropriate nominations and no credit/refund would be available.
2) If a previously registered and PAID Associate or Participating entry has been cancelled or moved to the next academic year AND you wish to receive a credit for next season (regardless of what the production title is), please email Tom Rothacker with that info. When a new registration comes in, next year, you will not be expected to pay that invoice.
3) If there are any other specific circumstances that need our attention, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Tom and Vana so that we can find a suitable solution.
