2023 NPP Auditions for One Act and Ten Minute Plays

NPP Staged Reading Auditions

During the festival, six (6) Ten-Minute plays and two (2) One-Act plays will receive a staged reading. The Ten-Minute Plays are directed by student directors and supported by student dramaturgs, while the One-Acts are directed by faculty directors, and also supported by student dramaturgs.

Please review the Cast Breakdowns for each play being presented so that you may make an informed choice as to the roles you would like to be considered for.

There are two ways to audition for the NPP Staged Readings.

Option 1) Submit a self-taped recorded audition by 11:59 pm January 10th. If you are auditioning for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship, you may use that audition for the NPP Staged Readings as well.  SUBMIT AUDITION HERE

OR

Option 2) In-person auditions held the morning of Wednesday, February 1st at the Festival. The in-person auditions are last minute auditions – we encourage you to consider Option 1.

Final Casting will take place on Wednesday, February 1st and rehearsals and performances will take place in person at the festival.

*Please note that those who advance to the Irene Ryan Semi-Final Round are NOT eligible to be cast in the One Act or 10-Minute Readings.
