Student stage and production managers are encouraged to apply for a Management Internship. Student Interns assist with running festival events, such as the Acting Scholarship Auditions, Musical Theatre Auditions, 10-Minute Plays, and Tech Olympics. It is an opportunity to work on a new venture, honing your networking skills with a group of new faces from area colleges and universities. Be advised that the work can conflict with other goings-on at the conference and may stretch into the evenings. The schedule will be made so you still have plenty of time to attend many events and performances. Past participants describe it as an eye-opening experience into how conferences function and a way to stretch your professional muscles before heading out into the ‘real world.’
How to Participate:
Please use the following form to apply for a Festival Internship. Be sure that you have submitted the Program Information Form before applying to an internship.
We ask that you submit:
- A cover letter detailing why you believe you are a good candidate for this program and what goals you have for participating
- A resume of your experience, both educational and professional
Please Note: In a change from previous years, Region 1 will not be paying for intern hotel accommodations while at the conference. All intern hotel rooms must be provided by the students’ school. All selected interns will be provided with free conference registration and $35.00 daily per-diem
Fill out and submit the Internship Application by January 5th, 2026. Be sure to submit a Program Information Form and select Festival Internships/Technical Internships BEFORE submitting the application.
