Michael Lounello
Siena Rep./Albany Facilitator

I serve as Production Manager for Siena University, where I oversee theatrical productions, design University events, and mentor students in all areas of production. My work blends teaching, design, and leadership. I guide students through hands-on training in lighting, sound, video, and stagecraft, encouraging them to see theatre as both a craft and a collaborative process. I focus on preparing students for the professional world. Some will go on to careers in theatre, while others carry these skills into different fields, but all of them should leave with confidence, adaptability, and the ability to work well in teams. Theatre education, to me, extends far beyond the stage. It builds problem-solving skills, creative resilience, and the capacity to see the world through new perspectives. At Siena, I am fortunate to work with students and colleagues who bring curiosity and dedication to every project. I see KCACTF as an extension of that same community, a space where we celebrate student achievement, share ideas, and learn from one another. I’m excited to support students and faculty across the region and to connect with artists who are shaping the future of theatre.
