Student stage and production managers are encouraged to apply for a Management Internship. SM interns are eligible for free housing and board, as well as waived festival registration fees. Student Interns assist with the running of festival events, such as the Musical Theatre Auditions, New Works, and Tech Olympics, in addition to potentially other tasks. It is an opportunity to work in a new-to-you venture, with a group of new faces from area colleges and universities. Be advised that the work can conflict with other goings-on at the festival and may stretch into the evenings. However, past participants describe it as an eye-opening experience into how conferences function and a way to stretch your professional muscles before heading out into the ‘real world.’ The schedule will be made so you still have plenty of time to attend many conference events, and performances.
